- To open a remote desktop connection spanning multiple monitors use Mstsc /span. Total resolution on all monitors must be under 4096 x 2048 pixels. The monitors must have the same resolution. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925876. It's actually pretty nasty - treats both monitors as a single giant monitor, so windows maximize across both, popup windows appear in the central split area.
